Clover Seed Planting Considerations
Our clovers are best placed in shady and smaller food plots. Use our line of excellent forage soybeans for larger, open areas to maximize tonnage, attraction, and animal growth.
Annual clovers are best planted in the fall, but frost seeding can be done on any of our products. Most products are available in both one and 1/6th acre sizes.
Generally, it would be best to sow clover seeds in the spring (around April to May) when the ground is soft and moist. Broadcast the seeds directly onto the soil surface and lightly cover them with a thin layer of soil. In many regions, you also have the option to plant clover in early fall (from September to early October). This timing allows the clover to establish itself before the first frost, so be sure to plant at least 40 days before the arrival of freezing temperatures.
